4 day trip to South and North Shore Iceland. Follow along for some Game of Throne filming spots.
Day 1
Flew into Reykjavik, Iceland and picked up our rental car. We stayed in the same hotel for the 4 days we were here. Wish we booked places as we went. This trip included a lot of driving. The airport was about 45 minutes outside of the city of Reykjavik.
Blue lagoon:Book tickets in advance. Very relaxing experience.
Note: Do not go here straight from the airport. . I thought this was going to be a good idea because it would kill time before you were able to check into our hotel and it wouldn’t be busy first thing in the AM. We were personally very tired .

Fly back home
Notes:
Try to see the Northern lights every night that you are there if possible. Depending on the sky you may not be able to see them. We went in early April and were lucky enough to see them the first time we arrived due to the clear sky. We tried to see them again and the weather was not in our favor.
Iceland is filled with waterfalls and hot springs.
If you are driving make sure to follow the speed limits. There are speed traps everywhere. There is one made road that goes around the Island. The middle area of the island requires you to have a 4×4 vehicle to get around due to road conditions.
