Fall is my favorite season. Living in New England makes this season even more special. I love the cool, crisp air, the leaves changing color, and pumpkin and maple flavors taking over my taste buds. Now that the sun is setting sooner and we are in the house more often, decorations bring life to the home. Candles and lights throughout the house add a cozy and inviting feeling to the home. Nothing is better than a fall-scented candle to bring the room together.

Here are two areas in the home I decorate for fall. They are simple, yet you can add more and subtract depending on what part of the fall we are in. Closer to Halloween, I’ll add ghosts or skulls to give the decor more of a spooky feel. I also love going to the local farm to pick out pumpkins and gourds to add. HomeGoods is a perfect spot to grab a decorative glass pumpkin as well.

Below are links to the items used to create this over-the-kitchen sink design. The dish towel in the picture is from HomeGoods. I added white fairy lights to my garland. Next year, I will incorporate both the orange and white lights into my display.

Entryway

Below are the links to the items I used for my entryway. If you are not a fan of real pumpkins and gourds, use a glass or felt pumpkin that can be found at any store near you.
